Projects

List of projects I'm currently interested in or working on.

DNS replacement

The Domain Name Service is the work horse of the internet and practically all other internet services depend on it at some point. Because of this dependence all the internet services inherit the problems of the DNS.

The main problem that an eventual DNS replacement needs to eliminate is the single point of failure (DNS root servers) that leads to all sorts of denial of service and the authority control over the DNS zones that may lead to censoring (and often does).

Personal Social Mesh and CoP

The personal social mesh wants to be a truly user centric social network. Controlled entirely by the user it will allow meaningfull and personalized interractions without the risk of service provider lock-in and corporate profit driven development.

The aim is to provide a stable platform for centralized basic communication and collaboration modules and other core services. Additional functionality would be plugged in as needed and plugged out and replaced just as easy whenever the service provider starts to act up.

Everything should be able to run on any personal computer or by any service provider but the user should be able to switch providers in notime and with virtually no downtime.

The individual collaboration should be as easy as possible and via multiple mechanisms including ad-hoc Comunity of Practice (CoP) interractions.

Please let me know if you have an interest in any of the above projects or anything related.
